Fair Usage Policy

Last updated: 8 March 2026

This Fair Usage Policy ("FUP") forms part of ZenFlip's Terms of Service and applies to all users of the ZenFlip digital publishing platform operated by Zentrovia Solutions Private Limited ("Zentrovia", "we", "us", or "our").

The purpose of this policy is to ensure all users enjoy a reliable, high-quality service by establishing reasonable usage thresholds appropriate to each subscription tier.

2. Definition of a View

A "view" is defined as a unique viewer accessing a specific publication within a single calendar day (UTC). If the same viewer accesses the same publication multiple times in one day, it counts as one view. If that viewer returns the next day, it counts as a new view.

Viewer uniqueness is determined by an anonymised browser fingerprint. This fingerprint does not contain personally identifiable information.

What counts as a view:

  • A unique viewer opening a publication via its public link, embedded iframe, or shared URL (one view per viewer per publication per day)

  • The publication creator accessing their own publication via the public link or shared URL (this consumes bandwidth, so it counts)

The following are excluded from your monthly view count:

  • The creator viewing their own publication from the ZenFlip dashboard, editor, or preview mode

  • Multiple views by the same viewer of the same publication on the same calendar day (UTC)

  • Automated crawling by recognised search engines (including Googlebot, Bingbot, and other major crawlers)

  • Traffic identified by our systems as automated bots or scrapers

Note: If you need unlimited views or prefer to host your own content, all paid plans include HTML and SCORM export options, allowing you to self-host your flipbooks on your own infrastructure.

3. What Happens When You Reach Your Limit

Your publications are never taken offline due to view limits. Specifically:

  • At 80% of your allowance: We will notify you via an in-dashboard banner and email so you have time to decide whether to upgrade.

  • At 100% of your allowance: New viewers accessing your publications will see a brief branded interstitial (5 seconds or less) before your content loads. The interstitial is automatically removed when you upgrade your plan or when your view count resets.

  • Your content remains accessible. The interstitial is a brief delay, not a block. All existing and new viewers can still access your full publication content.

4. View Count Resets

View counts reset to zero on the 1st day of each calendar month at 00:00 UTC. You can monitor your current usage at any time through the analytics section of your ZenFlip dashboard.

5. Changes to View Allowances

We may update view allowances from time to time. Any changes will be communicated via email and dashboard notification at least 30 days before they take effect. For subscribers on paid plans, any reduction in view allowances constitutes a material change subject to the terms of our Price Lock Pledge.

6. Abuse and Artificial Inflation

We reserve the right to investigate usage patterns that appear to involve artificial inflation of view counts, automated scraping, or deliberate circumvention of fair usage limits. In such cases, we may:

  • Contact you to discuss your usage and recommend an appropriate plan

  • Temporarily suspend analytics tracking pending investigation

  • Adjust view counts to exclude artificially inflated traffic

We will always make reasonable efforts to contact you before taking any restrictive action.
