This Cookie Policy explains how we use cookies and similar technologies when you visit or use the Platform. This policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy (zenflip.io/legal/privacy).

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites recognise your device, remember preferences, and gather usage information. Cookies cannot run programs or deliver viruses.

Related technologies include local storage (which stores data in your browser without an expiration date), session storage (which stores data for a single browser session), and pixel tags/web beacons (which are small transparent images used to track actions on web pages or in emails).

Help us understand how visitors use the Platform by collecting aggregated and anonymised information about page visits, traffic sources, session duration, feature usage, and error rates. We use this data solely to improve Platform performance and user experience.

2.4 Third-Party Cookies

Some service providers may set cookies on your device. Current providers include Stripe (payment processing - essential for checkout) and Google Analytics (usage analytics, if enabled). We do not use advertising, retargeting, or behavioural tracking cookies. We do not allow third-party advertising networks to set cookies through the Platform.

3. Cookies in the Flipbook Viewer

When Viewers access flipbooks created through ZenFlip, the following cookies may be set:

  • Essential: Session management, viewer preferences (zoom, page position, reading mode)

  • Analytics: Page-level viewing analytics if enabled by the Creator (page views, time per page, scroll depth)

  • AI Chat: Anonymous session identifiers for AI Chat interactions if enabled by the Creator

  • Lead Capture: Session data for form submissions if lead capture is enabled

Creators who enable analytics, AI Chat, or lead capture features on their publications are responsible for informing their own Viewers about cookie usage in accordance with applicable data protection laws in the Viewers' jurisdictions.

4. How to Manage Cookies

On first visit, we display a cookie consent banner allowing you to accept or reject non-essential cookies. You can change preferences at any time via the cookie settings link in the footer of any Platform page.

4.2 Browser Settings

Most browsers allow you to view, delete, and block cookies. Disabling essential cookies may prevent the Platform from functioning. Browser-specific instructions are available in each browser's help documentation.
