Invoices & Payments
ZenFlip makes it easy to manage your billing details, access invoices, and resolve payment issues. This guide covers everything you need to keep your account in good standing.
Viewing Your Invoices
To access your billing history:
Go to Settings in the top navigation
Select the Billing tab
Scroll down to the Billing History section
You'll see a list of all past invoices, including:
Date - When the charge was made
Amount - The total charged (including any applicable tax)
Status - Paid, pending, or failed
Plan - Which plan the charge is for
Downloading Invoices
Click on any invoice to view the details, then click Download PDF to save a copy. Each invoice includes:
Invoice number
Billing date
Description of the charge (plan name, billing period)
Subtotal, tax, and total amount
Payment method used (last 4 digits of card)
Zentrovia Solutions company details
These PDF invoices are suitable for expense reports, accounting, and tax records.
Invoice Emails
ZenFlip sends an invoice email after each successful payment. The email includes a summary and a link to view the full invoice in your account settings. If you need invoices sent to a different email address (for example, your accounting department), you can add a billing email in your billing settings.
Updating Your Payment Method
To change the credit or debit card on file:
Go to Settings > Billing
In the Payment Method section, click Update Payment Method
Enter your new card details
Click Save
Your new card will be used for all future charges. The previous card is removed immediately.
Accepted payment methods:
Visa
Mastercard
American Express
Discover
All payment processing is handled securely through Stripe. ZenFlip never stores your full card number - only the last 4 digits for display purposes.
Updating Your Billing Address
Your billing address is used for tax calculation and appears on invoices:
Go to Settings > Billing
Click Edit next to the billing address
Update your address details
Click Save
Changes to your billing address apply to future invoices. Previous invoices retain the address that was on file when they were generated.
Failed Payments
If a payment fails, here's what happens and how to fix it:
What Triggers a Failed Payment
Expired card - Your card's expiration date has passed
Insufficient funds - The card doesn't have enough available credit
Card declined - Your bank has declined the charge (for fraud protection or other reasons)
Incorrect card details - The card number, expiration date, or CVC is wrong
What Happens After a Failure
Immediate notification - You'll receive an email alerting you to the failed payment
Automatic retry - ZenFlip automatically retries the charge after 1 day, 3 days, and 7 days
Grace period - Your account remains fully functional during the 7-day retry window
Account restriction - If all retries fail after 7 days, your account is downgraded to the free Explorer plan. Your publications and data are preserved, but paid features are locked.
Resolving a Failed Payment
To fix a failed payment before the retry window expires:
Go to Settings > Billing
You'll see a banner indicating the failed payment
Click Update Payment Method and enter a valid card
Click Retry Payment to charge the new card immediately
Once the payment succeeds, your account returns to normal with no interruption.
Contacting Your Bank
If your payment keeps failing despite having a valid card with sufficient funds, your bank may be blocking the charge. Try:
Calling your bank's support line and asking them to authorize charges from Zentrovia Solutions
Using a different card temporarily while you resolve the issue with your bank
Checking for fraud alerts - some banks flag international or online transactions and require you to confirm them
Tax Information
ZenFlip calculates and applies tax based on your billing address. Tax rates vary by location:
United States - Sales tax varies by state
European Union - VAT is applied based on your country
Other regions - Local tax laws apply where required
Tax is shown as a separate line item on your invoice. If your organization is tax-exempt, contact us at billing@zenflip.io with your exemption certificate, and we'll update your account.
