Exporting Analytics Data

Download your flipbook analytics as CSV files for reporting, external analysis, or team sharing.

Exporting Analytics Data

ZenFlip lets you export your analytics data as CSV files so you can analyze it in spreadsheets, import it into business intelligence tools, or share it with your team.

Plan requirement: CSV export is available on Business and Enterprise plans.

Exporting Analytics

Step-by-Step Export

  1. Navigate to the Analytics section (either global or per-publication)

  2. Use the date range selector to set the time period you want to export

  3. Click the Export CSV button in the top-right corner of the dashboard

  4. Choose which data set to export (see options below)

  5. The CSV file downloads to your computer immediately

Available Export Types

You can export different subsets of your analytics data:

Overview Report

A summary export containing:

  • Date (daily breakdown)

  • Total page views

  • Unique viewers

  • Average read time

  • New vs. returning viewers

This is the best choice for executive summaries and high-level reporting.

Page-Level Data

Detailed engagement data for each page of your flipbook:

  • Page number

  • Total views

  • Average time spent on page

  • Percentage of readers who viewed this page

  • Drop-off rate (percentage of readers who stopped at this page)

Use this export to understand content performance at a granular level and identify which pages need improvement.

Device & Browser Data

Reader technology breakdown:

  • Device type (desktop, mobile, tablet)

  • Browser name and version

  • Operating system

  • Percentage of total readership

Helpful for ensuring your content is optimized for the devices and browsers your audience actually uses.

Geographic Data

Reader location information:

  • Country

  • City (where available)

  • Number of readers

  • Percentage of total readership

Use this for market analysis and understanding the geographic reach of your publications.

Lead Capture Data

If you've enabled lead capture forms on your flipbook, you can export collected leads:

  • Submission date and time

  • Name (if collected)

  • Email address

  • Any custom fields you added to the form

  • Which publication the lead came from

This export is separate from the analytics exports and is accessible from the Leads section of your publication.

Date Range Filtering

The date range you select in the analytics dashboard directly determines what's included in your export. Before exporting:

  1. Click the date range selector at the top of the dashboard

  2. Choose a preset range (Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Last 90 days) or set a Custom range

  3. Verify the data on the dashboard reflects the period you want

  4. Then click Export CSV

The exported file will include only data from the selected date range. The filename includes the date range for easy identification (e.g., analytics-2025-01-01-to-2025-01-31.csv).
