OpenAI's September 29 keynote introduced "dots" — always-on AI agents that live inside ChatGPT and work toward goals 24/7 — alongside GPT-6.1 Sol (near-Astra performance at a fifth of the price) and a new Ultrafast speed tier. Developer updates included computer-use for the Agents API, cloud-based Codex, a Decisions API, and expanded ChatGPT plugins. Pricing shifted too: Pro's $200 tier usage multiplier dropped from 20x to 10x for new subscribers. More than twenty updates in total.
